A few years ago I finally got around to "tracing my roots", something that many of us talk about but never actually follow up.

I have made available the genealogy information that I have collected so far. Our family tree is browseable thanks to GenDesigner. If you have a match to your own family tree, the GED file is available for you to download as a text file or zip file

I'd always hoped that I would uncover one or two great stories as a result of the research. My major discovery to date is how my great grandfather, Malcom McRae, was left an orphan at the age of 8 as a result of a family boating tragedy. See the "McRae's and the Clyde boating accident 1869".
